Other peoples Notifications

Hi

Since this morning, I have been getting notifications via the openHAB app for someone else in a different language. These are the sendBroadcastNotification messages.

What’s even stranger is i have two phones - an Android and an iPhone but the notifications are only appearing on my Android and not the iPhone. Neither are the notifications in myopenhab. Both devices are logged in with the same username and have been since I’ve been using openHAB for over a year.

Anyone else had this?

openHAB App on Android 8 showing strange notifications

Hi, today i came across a rather strange phenomenon: I use a openHAB 2.2.0 installation on Raspian which is connected to myopenhab.org. On three Android devices i use the official openHAB App, on one Android 8 device the release version is installed, on the other two Android 7 devices i’m testing the beta release. can you email support@myopenhab.org and provide the email you used to register with? I will take a look. There is a known bug that we are still trying to hunt down where push notifications get sent to to the wrong device.

I just got this too. Doesn’t really bode well if this has existed for this long and yet noone have got it under control. I mean this stuff should be secure, getting someone elses notifications doesn’t seem to be much of that.
