Password for apps openhab 8443

Hi,

i’m trying to let access to my basicUI from internet from my telephone app but : it don’t ask for password on the 8443 port.

could you give me a clue ?

The openHAB app can only access your OH server if:

  1. Both your phone and server are on the same home network.
  2. You connect your phone and server through the myopenhab.org cloud.
  3. You set up your own secure method to access your server over the Internet, whether that’s a self-hosted cloud server, a reverse proxy to your home network, or a virtual private network (VPN).

It seems like you think that your server can automatically be accessed from anywhere on the Internet. However, that would be a huge security risk for your home network. If I’m misunderstanding your comment, then I think you need to provide more explanation on what you’re trying to do.
