# Persistence with InfluxDB not storing data?

I’m pretty sure that your installation is faulty, `log:set` and `log:list` should definitely work.  
Did you manipulate the file

```auto
/var/lib/openhab2/etc/org.ops4j.pax.logging.cfg

```

manually?
