Porting Denon binding to OH2

Does anybody know if the Denon binding is actively maintained? I have an older Denon without ethernet, but “only” serial interface. I believe it is pretty much the same command set, so it seems reasonable to put it in the same binding.
But (as others has pinpointed), there is some limitations to the 1.x Denon Binding.

Anybody knows if work is in progress here?

Another search in the forum revealed an answer to my prayers:

[denon] allow config of Telnet and HTTP ports

At least that seems to allow me to map my serial port to my network with ser2net, and thus send commands (haven’t tried it).

Denon / Marantz 2.0 Binding

Just to let you know a new 2.0 binding is in the works for Denon / Marantz AVRs. Almost finished development work, hopefully it can be included in the OpenHAB 2.3.0 release. In the meantime you can download the jar file and place it into your addons directory. See https://github.com/openhab/openhab2-addons/issues/2204 for more details. Please let me know any feedback so I can try to incorporate it into the binding.
