Problem after running OpenHAB restore script

Sounds great … and like a bit of work.

What do you suggest? My approach would now be to do another clean install on the new SD card. Then install my bindings and afterwards copy my items, things, rules, maps etc. into the new folder structure. I guess I will at least lose my databases but if I get the back up and running again that would already be good.

Which database? The embedded ones store their data in /var/lib/openhab2/persisence, but it’s as likely that those files are corrupted as the other files in that folder structure are.

Your approach sounds reasonable.

Well then. I will go to work. Thank you for your help, Rich.

To close this issue here is what I did: I reinstalled OpenHAB on a new SD card. Then I added all my bindings etc. Since I still had my things, items, rules and all other config files I copied them on the new SD card. Right now, all seems to be working fine again. In the end, the whole process took me about half an hour. After one and a half days of trying to rescue stuff from the broken card.
Thanks to everyone who helped.
