@J-N-K When running a 4.0 snapshot containing the new binding metadata changes (e.g. addon.xml), will bindings built with the old binding.xml still work when dropped into the addons directory, or must they be converted?
No, they need the update. And please also note that at the moment it is not working until Fixes and enhancements for add-on services by J-N-K · Pull Request #3293 · openhab/openhab-core · GitHub and Fix thing-type retrieval and add-on management by J-N-K · Pull Request #1651 · openhab/openhab-webui · GitHub have been merged.
