Reliabilty of openHAB

It sounds like your associations might not be configured. Associations are what ZWave uses to tell a device to send status updates back to the controller. I would check the associations, and then check the log to see what is being received when you manually change the state of a device.

This happens when you do not configure your mesh properly and/or your configurations are not suitable for the setup. It’s just a configuration problem!

To be clear, you can’t actually configure the ZWave mesh - you can only place devices appropriately so that the mesh has options.

I checked the neighbours of my devices and saw that the battery powerd ‘Wall Controller’ which control the switch of the heater has no neighbors. But how can this happen. This wall controller is associated with the remote switch of the heater. This switch has a distance of less then 1 m to the wall controller and has 16 neighbors, the most of them not battery driven.
How can I teach this wall controller that it has a lot of neighbors?
