I get the impression that changes to log4j2.xml are only applied after I restart openHAB. But is that a correct constatation? And/or is there a way to reload log4j2.xml without restarting openHAB, as that is always a bit of a hassle…
I just edit the file and the changes get picked up without issue …
Yes, that matches my observations. Although monitorInterval is configured in log4j2.xml, changes do not appear to be applied automatically on my system. The modified logging pattern only takes effect after restarting openHAB.
I have verified that I am editing the active configuration file (/var/lib/openhab/etc/log4j2.xml) and that monitorInterval is set. Nevertheless, the running instance continues to use the previous configuration until a restart is performed.
Does anyone have any idea how this is possible?
I would like to do that now, to troubleshoot a problem I’m having as we speak: enOcean Binding stopped after fuse blown
