Im on a VPN connection to my raspberry with OpenHabIan installed, is there any way so i can edit the sitemap, items and so on in Visiual Code Studio live?

The openHABian sets up a samba share for you. I think it is \OPENHABIANPI\openHAB-share. Mount this share to your file system (Map a network drive if you are on Windows or browse to it in Explorer) and open the conf folder in VSCode. Configure the OH extension per the instructions, using the openHABian server IP address or hostname for the host parameter.
