Remote URL (sitemap) vs. openHAB Cloud (notification)

Hi sirs,

I’ve a little question to you and hope someone has a solution for my request.

I would like to access my OH instance local as well as remote through my own infrastructure. But I would like to use also push notification. At the moment I’ve configured the cloud connector to provide notification and remote access, because I only can enter one remite URL in the app.

So, my question now is how I can manage it to only use oppenHAB cloud for notification and access OH through my own URL.

I also was thinking to connect everytime through local URL (but I don’t know if it’s possible to configure this in OH) and to configure the cloud connector only for notification.

Hopefully someone has a solution for me.

I think your only solutions are:

  • connect your phone to your home network through a VPN and put your local URL in local and myopenhab.org in for remote. This is what I do.

  • install your own instance of the openHAB Cloud Server and connect to that through your own infrastructure. Put the URL for the cloud server in remote and your local URL for local.
