Hi James, Does the Silex also work in ubuntu dockers?
I think the Silex is a stand-alone network device. It would likely require a driver on the host OS to feed an OS device that could be exposed to a Docker container.
It looks like they only have Windows and Mac drivers unfortunately.
I’ve been pumping a z-wave stick through to a hyper-v VM for years using the software linked below and its absolutely solid.
Why? My z-wave stick, with proper drivers, presents itself as a serial port which is directly mapped to my Hyper-V VM. No additional software required.
I’m using a gen2 VM, and the host is in the garage. The USB stick is plugged into a microserver in the house. I already had the software also so no outlay when I implemented it.
