Remove Z-Wave Device from Controller fails

  • Platform information:

    • Hardware: Raspberry PI 3+ with RAZBERRY Z-Wave Controller
    • OS: openHABian 4.19.42-v7+ #1219
    • Java Runtime Environment: as included in openHABIAN 4.19.42-v7
    • openHAB version: openHAB 2.5.0~M1-1 - Z-Wave Binding from SNAPSHOT
  • Issue of the topic: I have three nodes, that I incidentally had reset or that are broken. I want to remove them from the controller. I have tried a number of times through HABmin or Paper UI to remove these nodes from the controller, but they appear over and again in my inbox. I also rebooted the Raspberry a couple of times in-between. No success.

What else can I try?

Try using Z-Way to remove them.

Can I install Z-Way parallel to openHAB without problems?

Anything to pay attention to, when installiert in parallel?

Install yes, run no.

Yes: they both don’t understand Denglisch.

So, I install Z-Way
Stop openHAB
Start Z-Way
remove failed nodes
Stop Z-Way
Start openHAB

Or is there an easier way?

Sorry for the Denglish

yes

This did not help.

The devices came back in the inbox of openHAB Paper UI / HABmin

Any other way to remove them from the controller?

Zensys Software, even that it takes me on average 15-20 goes to remove a node.

I’ve no idea why its so hard for Zwave devices to be removed.

soft reset controller?
