I have openhabian running on a pi, I’ve just pulled out the sd card to re flash it after a mistake and openhab is still running on the pi?
Is this normal? And has it always done this?

you pulled the sd card with a still running system?
I’m pretty sure that this will lead to a kernel panic immediately. (at least)
I know, its a bit naughty. I’m just surprised that everything is still running, I even double checked it was the correct Pi.
UNIX-like systems can be pretty interesting & run as long as they o not need to access the card.
Openhabian uses zram to put key “files” in memory.
