we are students at the University of Applied Sciences Munich (Faculty of Business Administration, Digital Technology Management program) and are currently conducting a research project supervised by Prof. Dr. Lars Brehm titled:
"The Role of Free and Open-Source Technologies in Enhancing the Sustainability of Smart Home Systems.”
The goal of our research is to understand how free and open-source technologies contribute to more sustainable smart home solutions compared to proprietary systems.
For the empirical part of our study, we are looking for experts from the smart home community, especially those with experience in Home Assistant, open-source integrations, or smart home automation in general.
What we are asking for
A short expert interview (approx. 30 minutes) via phone or online call.
Your insights would be extremely valuable for our research.
Confidentiality
All information will be treated confidentially and used solely for academic purposes. Results can be published with your name/company or fully anonymized—whichever you prefer. We would also be happy to share a summary of our findings with you once the research is completed.
