The good news is that’s about 80% of the battle. I’ll see if I can track down the API command for the button and add it. Hopefully someone has already reverse engineered it so it should just be as simple as a few lines.

I’ll see if I can disect that and add the channel. It looks like the API call is a simple HTTP PUT so in theory it shouldn’t be hard. To be clear (since I neither have one nor have I seen one before), the channel should be a switch that sends to pulse to unlock (when ON is sent as a command) and then should return to OFF once the command is sent?

I don’t get an error, it just doesn’t work, the logs say nothing. I’m sorry, i’m a total beginner at all this, but i downloaded the jar file from GitHub into /usr/share/openhab/addons… Do I need to do anything else?
Did you add the account bridge and authenticate?
Is anyone else having issues on the more recent 4.2 releases? Specifically with channels under the devices.

Hey, sorry I haven’t had a chance to look. Been tied up the last while on some personal things. I’m hoping I should have some time to look back into this (and some other open items on this binding) soon. My goal is to get through the review cycle and get it merged in in 4.2, maybe 4.3 if that doesn’t pan out otherwise. Then adding features becomes much easier since I’m not maintaining multiple code bases.

I have updated to openHAB 4.2.1. I can find other community marketplace add-ons, but I can’t find this Ring add-on. Is it no longer available for v4.2, @morph166955 ?
