RRD4jPersistenceService error (empty file /var/lib/openhab/persistence/rrd4j/<itemName>.rrd")

  • Platform information:
    • Hardware: Raspberry PI 4b
    • OS: bullyeye
    • Java Runtime Environment: openjdk version “17.0.7” 2023-04-18
    • openHAB version: openHAB 4.0.1 Release Build
  • Issue of the topic: RRD4jPersistenceService complains about empty rrd file
  • If logs where generated please post these here using code fences:

There is a similar thread with tips / instructions for OH3 at Error message rrd4j invalid file header . Try them and report back here what worked and what did not work.
