Rule with * for Item

Hi,

I want to trigger a rule for every item change. Is this possible?

I tried

when Item * changed

but it is not accepted.

Any idea?

Not tested, but putting all items in a Group and using the Member of Trigger should work.

For what purpose?

So you assume at the moment that all your items are using MQTT. However this will most definitly change! Using a group will help you out anyway.

no, actually my items are zwave devices, but as I want to notify externally I see no other way to do it.

Then your approach is to create a group, with all the items that need to send a notification for the state change, isn’t it?
