Morning All, After years of using a Docker, decided to start fresh with a Raspian version on a 3+ using your excellent Raspian automated installer. Having said that, everything is pretty much operating as it should except that my Samba shares show none of the “openHAB-conf” files, only the directories and the original readme files. Likewise, I used MobaXterm into the installation and have been unable to find any of the rules, items, things, etc files. I uninstalled Zram thinking it may be that, no luck. My rules work fine manually running them, but a review of the log shows none of them are working based on their various time based (astro and local) triggers. I also thought it may be permissions, but I used the config app to “fix” permissions and no luck. Applicable /srv/directories are all openhab:openhab. Thanks in advance.
I think we need more details.
How did you do the restore on the new system?
Do you use all file based configs, managed configs, or a mix?
If you are using managed configs you won’t see any files in $OH_CONF. Everything gets saved to $OH_USERDATA/jsondb.
Thanks for the quick response. No restore, shut down the docker and did a fresh Openhabian install using your pre-defined Raspberry Pi Imager profile (32 bit). I’m using managed configs, no file based configs. I followed the documented openhabian installation guidance for stable (4.2.2). I do see JSON files for automation rules, items, things, etc in the USERDATA folder.
I guess that ends my interest in the rules, items, things, etc files. I’ll keep digging. Thanks!
