I’m searching for a modern minimalistic icon set that is really asthetic and not ugly looking like all of the icon sets I have seen so far for usage in the basic ui.
Any advice?

not sure what your definition of modern and minimalistic is, but I feel the same about the icon choices for my OH setup.
In the end I went for quite a lot of the ones from the Windos 8 collection here

It contain about 800 differnt icons

Oh that one looks nice. But it is only available in a fixed size.
An example would be the Streamline Icon Set -> https://app.streamlineicons.com/streamline-regular but it doesn’t include that much “smart homish” icons.
