Since it works to different degrees it seems more like a runtime problem. The adding process seems fragile since the browser page froze the first time adding.

Full functionality not present seems to hint at a configuration problem.

Will try to get a log tomorrow.

Had to remove/add the ShellyPro 1PM thing again and it worked

Are you are trying the UL versions? They are both currently not integrated, I could do that in the next days.

I bought them new at a retailer in Germany (Elektroshop Wagner). Didn‘t knew there was a difference and the Retailer’s website didn‘t tell a model id .

As I wrote, after removing and adding them again they work now.

Did create an issue on Github as well.

Edit: And it seems the Pro 3EM stops working as BLU gateway after that.

Hi @markus7017,

I have to correct myself: The Shelly Pro 1PM with Model ID SPSW-201PE15UL does not work as expected:

Sometimes the item values freeze and do not change in openHAB. Things look ok in the Shelly app.
The Shelly Pro 1PM sometimes switches itself off on its own after I switched it on in openHAB. This can take quite a while to happen and I did not use the Shelly app at all and there are no other actions going on. The switching off shows up in the log of the Shelly app as well.

I am happy to assist if I know how.

I am running openHAB 5.0.0 on a RPi5.

Obviously it happens during device initialization. If the thing gets OFFLINE the binding tries to recover after 70sec. If that fails…

Please switch to the DEV build and provide a DEBUG log

Short update:

Another refactoring of the device discovery is completed. As a positive effect are some fixes when mapping model ids or serviceNames and test coverage was improved. All that should also simplify the integration of new devices, believe me the number of devices (~ 70 or even more) and frequency is Allterco/Shelly is updating them or presenting new ones is a challenge by itself

I‘m currently working on integration of LoRa Add-On. Does someone wants to joint testing?

A PR is almost done integrating the remaining Plus / Pro 3EM.

And one the Plus / Pro dimmers.

BLU Wallswitch4, RC Button 4, Tough ZB, H&T ZB are already working, the BLU Remote still has some challenges.

And I need to create a small PR to add the Pro UL models mentioned above.

Let me know if you want to support testing and in which area

My bad, I was in the understanding there was a fix for this websocket error in 5.0.0. I’ve installed the 5.1.0 dev build.

Meanwhile I also installed more shellypmmini’s. What I noticed on these devices, there is no firmware 1.7.0, only 1.7.0-beta4. I’ve kept them on 1.6.2.

They both seem to crash on WebSocket error: Index 10 out of bounds for length 1

I can help testing the Pro Dimmer 2PM. I have two of them, one on Firmware 1.6.2 and the other one on 1.7.0. I have just disabled the automatic firmware update, so the one with 1.6.2 will stay there.

I have OpenHAB 5.0.0 on a Pi 4 (4 GB) running.

I installed your SNAPSHOT. The issue remains, but now I know why:

The Shellys get very hot in their cabinet, almost 70 °C (the cabinet itself is in a very hot room). I saw several alerts and the Shellys restart after they send an alarm. When switched on and running around 620 W one gets 10 °C hotter. Another one gets 20 °C hotter while running 2.400 W.

On top of that the WiFi signal strength is between 1-2 only. There are a lot COMMUNICATION_ERROR notifications. I assume they are related to the poor signal strength? They do not cause alarms though.

All Shellys run on Firmware 1.7.0 now.

Can someone confirm, that a 2PM Gen3 with FW 1.7.0, runs now staible with OH 5 and the default production binding? I do not want to update them, before a confirmation with OH is there

not yet, first the PR needs to be merged and is then included in the next milestone build. I suggest 5.0 + DEV build
