[SOLVED] Icons only available with basic UI

    • Hardware: rpi4
    • OS: openhabian
    • Java Runtime Environment: installed by openhabian
    • openHAB version: openhab 2.5 RC1.1
  • Issue of the topic: standard icons for iOS/android app only available with basic UI package installed

Not sure whether this is a feature or a bug. With new openhabian installation i decided not to install basic UI because I do not use it; afterwards puzzled that most (not all) of UI icons on ios and all icons on android app disappeared.

More or less by accident I had installed paper UI again and out of a sudden all UI icons are there!!!

So no PaperUI or BasicUI to begin with? Seems like you had no UIs that openHAB could be aware of, so icons would not be required.

Catch-22 there for finger pointing - should ios/android apps assume the server provides icons? Even if they don’t - what could they do about it?
