[SOLVED] OpenHAB 2.5.0-M1 breaks Hue remote dimmer channel events

After some experimentation I can confirm the responsiveness of 2.4.0 for these dimmers is much greater than in 2.5.0. (I have not looked into the code for an explanation.) For now I’m sticking with the older release…

From my point of view 2.5 seems not as responsiveness as 2.4. I also got the feeling, that sometimes the button presses aren’t working however this could be also related to the traffic in the 2.4 Ghz band and the red led on the dimmer switches themselves.

Hi, I can confirm that 2.4.0 binding is working much more responsive than 2.5.5.
I’m using the newest docker image.

I have connected 3 Hue Dimmer Switches. I’m missing approx 80% of the events.
I downgraded to 2.4.0. There it works without issues.

I get a better response behavior when I’m only connecting 1 Hue Dimmer Switch.
Is there a way how to use the 2.4.0 binding in 2.5.5?

Here some more observations: I’m using the docker distribution 2.5.5. With this version the Hue binding misses a lot of events. I switched now to the docker image distro 2.5.5-snapshot. With this version it works again perfectly.

I was expecting same binaries in both distributions but it looks like 2.5.5 is getting still updates, right?

After some version checks it’s now clear:
the image contains openHAB 2.5.5 Build #113
together with the hue bind 2.5.6-snapshot:
org.openhab.binding.hue-2.5.6-20200604.033430-17.jar
org.openhab.binding.hue-2.5.6-20200604.033430-17.jar.sha1
org.openhab.binding.hue-2.5.6-SNAPSHOT.jar

So no problem with last version?

No, the last version worked fine
