[SOLVED] SNMP Binding and Problems with item names and SNMP Traps

Now I got solved problem completely with SNMP Binding 2.x.
My last Problem, that the values onvalue=“1” and offvalue=“0” doesn’t send was the missing datatype=“int32” in the channel configuration.
Now it works everything (read, read_write and trap) and every item name.

Glad you figured it out. Do you think there is something missing in the documentation?

I’m not sure.
What me makes confusion, is that you can use for a channel name the same name like dedicated item (see example in the documentation for the switch: “if4command”). Is this really correct or possibly?
What I also don’t understand is (maybe this is a specially problem with my daenetip module, but I can’t read about this in the manual), that I have to use an adjusted oid for TRAPS-mode opposite to READ and READ_WRITE -mode (you need a “.0” less at the end of the oid for TRAPS).

Yes. That confuses us humans, but not openHAB, where you’ll only find channel names as part of a UID like somebinding:thingy:channame
