Switching to new Raspberry Pi, Copy SSD?

Hi,

I’m running openHAB 2.5 on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with a USB SSD, with InfluxDB/Grafana and a ZWave stick.

I’d like to switch over to a Raspberry Pi 4 with a new SSD, and would like to take everything with me. I could set up everything from scratch and import backups (for openHAB, InfluxDB and Grafana), but I was thinking about just copying the “old” SSD to the new SSD which will then be connected to the new Pi.

Is there anything that will prevent that from working?

In theory if you copy the whole SSD with a tool like dd the transition should work.
