TA CMI Binding CoE not connecting

I have a home automation system based on openhab, a TA CMI as node 56, a UVR 1611 controller as node 62 and a CAN-EZ3 energy manager as node 40. Openhab has the TA CMI binding installed. OpenHAB acts as virtual node 50 that is visible on the CMI web interface as an icon. The IP of the CMI is xxx.yyy.zzz.201 and for openHAB xxx.yyy.zzz.150. A numer item has the energy consumption value of a water heater stored. I want this value to be sent from openHAB to a analog CAN input 4 on CAN-EZ3 using CoE and shown on a schema page stored on the CMI.

After setting up everything the TA CMI is online but the TA CMI CoE Connection immediately goes offline with the communication error message: No update from C.M.I. for 15 min. I am not very savvy in CAN and CoE so I am propably missing something in the CoE setup.

After strugling with this for seven evenings I got to admit that some help is now needed here…

I do not remember a lot of it, but you may need to configure CAN EZ publish interval, so in case if you have a value which doesn’t change for long time, it will be posted from EZ3 memory to bus periodically. As far I remember CMI is just broadcasting values through CoE bridge, if it does not appear on CAN side it doesn’t get over CMI.
