Since it’s now possible to get a “thing” state, is it possible to group them somehow and loop them?
For example looping every Z-wave device to check if the thing is dead and do notification…

Just curious as to whether you ever figured out a way to do this.
Look at the Thing Status Reporting rule template on the Marketplace.
In short, no there is no way to group Things. But with this template you may be able to achieve what you are after (e.g. list of all the Things that are OFFLINE).
