how do i get the dlink sensor which is registered as a thing in paperui and working into homekit as a sensor. i have the homekit plug in working.
The openHAB HomeKit integration only supports switches, lights, and thermostats at the moment. More device types are planned for future versions, but I’m not sure what benefits you’d reap from giving HomeKit access to your sensors.
I would think you are better off doing automation on the openHAB side, since openHAB’s rules are about 100 times more powerful and flexible than what you can do from HomeKit.
Personally, I use HomeKit to control the lights and nothing else. It’s designed to be a simple interface and excels at these basic tasks, not at complex automation.
