In Germany, we’ve had a “Dunkelflaute” in Nov and Dec, i.e. very little wind and sun, resulting in high spot market prices.
Here’s my December month-to-date report from “the Day After” 24/12/12 where we had peak prices of 900+ €/MWh all over Europe. “Vergleichstarif” below was Tibber i.e. what you would have paid with an unmanaged spot market price per kWh.
Still paid less than the average 2023 cost was (35,xx per kWh).
