What timezone is my.openhab in? Should it be in mine? The eventlog says the events are all happening tomorrow, which is amazing time travel for a java app. 
It should be yours. A miss match like this usually (but not always) indicates that the timezone on your machine is not set correctly.
Search the forum for “timezone” and you will see at least two postings I remember where people have had and solved similar problems.

Timestamps after midday are displayed as “today” – but before midday they are “tomorrow”.
