Tool to migrate v1 conf to v2

I have a question for the openhab experts…
Would it be feasible/tough to program/provide a script that reads a Openhab v1 config directory and transform this to a Openhab v2 configuration?
That would help a lot of people.
I have a quite extensive openhab config on v1.8.2 which looks like a pain to make it a v2.0.0 config running without errors.

Shouldn’t be too difficult, but be aware, that some Configurations have to be adapted to fit for OH2 beyond splitting one openhab.cfg in many small files.
