My furnace is finally being replaced. I was quoted a Trane system including a XL1050 thermostat.
I see that Home Assistant seems to support it, but has anyone here accessed it via the Z-Wave binding at all?
If not, any thoughts on alternative thermostats for a furnace / heatpump?
Unfortunately this thermostat is only accessible via libraries that scrape the undocumented cloud api. If your Trane furnace does does not require a Trane communicating thermostat you could look at Venstar or Ecobee thermostats as an alternative.
Jeez I hate these companies. … So I guess the Home Assistant people just reversed engineered it.
