Hi,
I migrated from OH2.5 successfully to OH3 (3.0.2).
Now I have a strange behavior with unbound (virtual) items. In OH2.5 I have never seen such behavior.
I created a new switch item over the main ui
The item is not bound to a binding/channel
If I switch the item ON then I see in the log messages which confirms the switch to ON
If I switch the item off then nothing is logged. In the item overview in main ui the status is still ON
I can not figure out why this happens.
I hope the community can help me.

This sounds like the UI problem
I have a setup with heating regulators. Eurotronic Zwave Spirit.
On OH2x I have defined a virtual switch (Switch HVAC_OnOff “AZ_Heat_OnOff”) defined in an .item File.
With that Switch I activate or deactivate alle heating items in all rooms.
No I’m going to port my setup to OH 3.
I did this on a second system and will setup all from a fresh state.
So I just played a little bit.
I created a simple switch item on the UI.
When I saved it, i saw the UI Item in the browser an can toogle it.

## The problem
A switch bulb item was created.
If it is switched via MS Edge or Chrome Browser, only the ON command is sent, not the OFF command.
If the item is switched via SAFARI (iPhone), it works without any problems.
## Expected behavior
The function should work the same with all browsers.

Thank you @rossko57 !
This was the right hint for me. I changed “Settings->API Security->Show Advanced->Implicit user role for unauthenticated requests ON” and SAVE.
Then it works for me. For information I am using Chrome on a desktop PC.
