And that device was last added or updated in September, after 2.4 was released. You need to manually update your Z-Wave binding This script makes that easier. You will then need to delete & re-discover your Thing.

Zigbee and zwave manual install script

thanks for your quick reply and solution! I found the note on the bottom of the database page now; could have thought of that myself. After about half a day of tinkering around with the linked script I succeeded in updating the binding - had to do it half manually since I got errors running the script. Finally I was able to include the switch. That’s what I love about openHAB - you have to invest lots of time to solve problems, but in the end there’s always a solution!
