Upgrade OH Docker to 4.0.1

Good afternoon,

In the OH 4 documentation I did not find any specific guide for upgrading a Docker container. I am running OH 3.4.0 in a Docker container on my Synology NAS. The container is associated with the openhab/openhab:latest image, and the container manager offers me to update the image.

Do I understand it correctly that if I update the image and then start the container, OH will automatically migrate the configuration files from 3.4.0 to 4.0.1?

Regards, Robert

PS: I did already create a backup by copying the configuration files, installed openhab/openhab:3.4.0 as image, created a duplicate of the container and pointing it to the copied configuration files and the 3.4.0 image. So if the upgrade of my main image/container does not work, I should always be able to just start the backup container.

Thanks, I’ll give it a try then!

It seems to have worked, 4.0.1 is up and running and at least at first glance everything seems to be working as before. Great, that was much easier than anticipated.
