Normally every time I login to my RPI via SSH, I get a welcome message saying
“Looking for a place to get started? Check out 'sudo openhabian-config” etc.
Since upgrading to v4 (probably sometime in december, but I am not sure exactly when, I get a message saying
sed: can’t read /opt/openhabian/includes/openhab2logo: No such file or directory
When I look at that folder, I see there is a file called openhablogo (missing the 2), so back in December, I made a copy of it with the right name - everything worked fine.
Now, the 2 file has vanished again.
Anyone know what is going on? why is this file getting deleted?
A long time ago we had openHAB 1.x. Then a huge effort was made to essentially remake OH with a new architecutre and we got OH 2. But there was enough different that everything was moved to “openhab2”. All the config files and folders used “openhab2” in the name instead of just “openhab”.
Since openHAB 3 everything has gone back to using just “openhab” instead of “openhab2”.
What has probably happened is either you’ve not updated openHABian itself (it should ask to update itself when you run openhabian-config, or upgrading openHABian did not apply some changes automatically. You can run openhabian-config, let it upgrade itself, and then run 10 Apply Improvements → 12 Bash&VIM Settings.
