I am new and setting up basic functionality. I have a TP-Link plug working and a my router setup just as a pinged network device. Following the tutorials, I added them to the Basic UI.
But what is the slide switch for next to my network device? All i want is a status, and I know the switch has not function (although it does change icon color). The wall plug works fine with a switch.
So can i get rid of the switch? I tried changing Switch to other types but mostly the log showed an error in parsing the file:
Switch Presence_USG_Home “USG Router” {channel=“network:device:192.168.1.1:online”}
Is there way to show status without a switch? What do others do with basic network devices that are either up or down?
