Why were the skeleton creation scripts removed?

Why were the skeleton creation scripts removed?

Is there a new procedure for this, the documentation still seems to list using the scripts. Not sure if I missed something recently?

To prevent new bindings being created for the “2.5.x” branch. These scripts still exist on the “main” branch which should be the target branch of all new PRs.
