Wifi switch to control TV

Hello all

I have unused wifi light switch (1 from 4 gang switch)
Is it possible to control my webos tv (binding is install) or any other thing from this switch with updae but without using rule?

Please study openHAB concepts Rules are how OH manages and controls Items.

Basically you are asking of you can use the switch to control something else without using OH to do so.Such a question would be off-topic for this forum.

I know rules not bad
My question is more about multi channel binding with update but from the switch point of view

Look at the follow profile. That might work (it’s hard to tell with so little detail). If not you’ll have to use a rule.
