  • Platform information:
    • Hardware: _Intel i5-7600K, 16GB Ram
    • OS:Window 10 Enterprise, 64bit
    • Java Runtime Environment: Zulu zulu8.28.0.1-jdk8.0.163-win_x64
    • openHAB version:2.2.0
  • Issue of the topic: After installing the wrong version of java (10) and failing, I read one of the posts here and uninstalled it, then installed version 8 in the standard place (C:\Zulu).
Set up environment varialbles JAVA_HOME and put the zulu 8 directory in PATH.
Installed OpenHab 2.2.0 in standard place.
    Executed C:\Users\Tom>C:\openHAB2\start.bat
Here is what I got back:

Launching the openHAB runtime…
Files\Zulu\zulu-8" == “” goto :TryJDKEnd was unexpected at this time.

First post so please excuse me if I did not put in pertinent information.

Looks like your JAVA_HOME variable is probably set incorrectly.

I’m guessing “Files\Zulu\zulu-8” is the last portion of what you tried to set the variable to.

That was it. I did a copy/paste of set commands from the Azul installation guide that put in quotes and \ that were not needed. The Azul notes should be updated IMO.

Thanks for the help!
