In this project, issues are, for the most part, judged by their merit and not who is posting the issue. But filing an issue is no guarantee that someone will volunteer to implement it or it might be a request that has other impacts that make it not attractive.
But I can guarantee that if you do not file an issue it almost certainly will never be implemented.
