@chris is the 5000ms setting configurable?
2018-03-10 13:19:11.750 [INFO ] [ve.internal.protocol.ZWaveController] - ZWave timeout is set to 5000ms. Soft reset is false.
I think a setting of 2-3s would be better for my network.
Have poked around in the binding and stick settings without finding anything.
No - it’s not configurable - at least not in the latest version, it might have been at some point in the past.

No, but it’s not a simple issue. There are a number of timers - some in the stick, and some in the binding. They are all related so this is not something to be messed with on its own.
It’s also worth pointing out that if the stick fails a transaction quicker than the 5 seconds, then the binding will move on earlier than waiting for the timeout…

I experience timeouts only 1-2 times a week so that can be radio interference.
I never lose events though, so no biggie
