Z-wave Network very slow/not responding after poweroutage

Last time I had this behavior one device was a “Blocker”. I removed it and everything was again normal. Last time Chris told me which device it was. Now I need again this info. Also I would like to know how I can figure it out myself.

I have uploaded the log file to https://opensmarthouse.org/utilities/logviewer/zwave/.
BUT I don’t know what to look for
openhab.log (985.7 KB)

I don’t know about the “blocker” idea (Just don’t have the knowledge to zero it down to one node.

However looking at the log it appears nodes 13,23,24,33,46,54 and 162 have problems. Assuming these are main powered nodes after startup the binding requests a Node Information Frame (NIF) and these nodes are not sending that information, but the binding keeps trying and overwhelms the controller around 13:50 and the controller just starts to reject everything for a while.

As to how to use the log, look for red “rejected” or “failed”.

Lastly, without even the Debug, the Warn messages around startup indicate problems.

Also messages like this indicate that the node cannot be identified (anymore?)

Are any of the nodes I mentioned “Zombies”? (no longer used, but still on the Zstick)

Thank you for looking into the looks, that was very nice of you!!!

Most of those nodes where “just” in the inbox.
I have now removed the IDs: 30, 43, 73, 88, 98, 153

ID: 47 is a Solar powered device. I guess its empty… I will check it
ID: 153 this device does not exsist anymore

All other IDs was in the Inbox. I thought that that would not we a problem, but hmm maybe it is. Anyway, they are now removed.

I was very happy with my Smarthome before we had the poweroutage (haven’t changed anything on my Z-Wave Network). So I thought that I have maybe one broken device.

Hopefully the cleanup helps.

One more question. Its probably more a gerneral question. I used Simplicity Studio for removing the nodes and it it telling me that I have 4 controllers (ID: 1, 28, 29 and 48):

I just have one controller with the ID: 1
What are the others for? Something like a repeater in the Network or what?

Could not tell you, sorry. I keep a list of my devices

any node that is unknown could be causing issues. There was a good posting on this here.
