ZMNHDD2 not in database

It seems the dimmer swtich I am trying to use is not in the database.

I am not smart enough yet to add it to the database.

Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Brand Name: QUBINO
Product Identifier: ZMNHDD2
Product Version: HW: 3 FW: 3.03:03.03
Z-Wave Certification Number: ZC10-16125357
S/N:19083A1ED00C
P/N ZMNHDD2 H1S4P5

FYI. Its the Australian model.

Assuming the device is fully discovered by openHAB, what we need is the xml file from the userdata/zwave folder and a link to an electronic copy of the user manual. The manua usually lists the configuration parameters as advanced settings.

Yes device has most definitely has been discovered. See screenshot.

I downloaded the information from https://products.z-wavealliance.org/products/2114

I hope I have provided the right information. Once I get this one light switch working I will start to learn how to do all the other things. I just want to know I can do it first!!!

I need to have a little win, so I get the sense of achievement.

Thanks for your help Bruce.

I need the xml file from openHAB.
On many Linux installations the file would be in the /var/lib/openhab2/zwave directory. There should be an xml file for each device node. I need the one for this particular node. It contains the information openHAB received from your device.

Excuse my ignorance I am very new to all this, generally once I do something once I won’t forget it but I haven’t created xml file yet. So I am a little in the dark.

Do I type /var/lib/openhab2/zwave into openhabian.

Im running openhabian on a Rasberry Pi through Putty.

If so this what I get back.

Thanks again.

cd /var/lib/openhab2/zwave
ls lists the files in the directory.
We are getting into basic Linux commands now.

Cheers Bruce.
Time to go back to the beginning and do some more reading on Linux commands me thinks.
Ill get back to you in a day or so. haha.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
