Atm I tried to download PC-Programmer and Zniffer again (from here). And it worked. Very strange.

At some point I should turn one of my sticks into a Zniffer.

I have an Aeotec Gen 5 stick with its jurassic never-changing firmware and annoying disco light, could that one be turned into a Zniffer since I will never use it in production?

That’s what I did. The LED turns off too once flashed. But you can also disable this in the Aeon Labs backup software too.

I began reading this thread when I started to troubleshoot some zwave network issues here. I managed to download various SDKs, but none of them include the zniffer tool. I finally found the Z-Wave 500 Series Embedded Development Kit page, which contains links to download the programmer and zniffer tools. Hopefully this will help anyone else who came here looking for the zniffer downloads.
