ZWave Binding Database Update

I am running OpenHAB 2.1 with the ZWave binding (2.1.0).
I am trying to add a new ZWave Plus wall outlet (GE 14288), but it is discovered as an unknown device.
I checked the database and found that someone else submitted this new device only a few days ago.
If I understand correctly, the ZWave binding must be recompiled and published before the new devices in the database will be available.

Is there a regular schedule in which the ZWave binding is recompiled?
Is there anything I can do to get my GE outlet to function in OpenHAB anytime soon?

Thank you for any advise or support.

That is the stable release.
You need to upgrade to the snaphsot release of the zwave binding or to the development version of the binding.
Or even upgrade your runtime version to snapshot completley.
There are several threads in this forum how to do that.

Thank you for your help!
I really appreciate your quick response.
I used the snapshot release of the ZWave binding.

For anyone trying to reproduce what I did:

  1. copy snapshot release files into the “/usr/share/openhab2/addons” folder (on Raspberry Pi).
  2. Disable “Access Remote Repository” from system settings in paper UI. (you can re-enable this later)
  3. Uninstall ZWave binding
  4. Reinstall ZWave binding
  5. I had to reboot after all this was complete
  6. Delete the device the was previously unknown and when you rediscover the device, if it is in the database, it will no longer be unknown.
