Zwave binding problems with ZW6302 motion detector

System Specs:
openHAB 2.3.0 Build #1149
raspberry pi 3 - Raspbian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie)
Z-Wave Binding binding-zwave - 2.3.0.SNAPSHOT
ZW6302 Portable Smart Motion Sensor zwave:ge_zw6302_00_000

Won’t throw a notificationwhen it triggers. Ok, no sweat Edit Thing in Paper UI…
First note: ability to save disables… ok…
Find Wakeup node is not set. Set to 1 (the node ID of my Zstick controller connected to 5 nodes, ZW6302 is Node 4.
ability to save becomes available. touch NOTHING else… Save… 500 internal error and the below java dump in logs.
Odd not ZStick (node 1) does not appear to have a ‘name’ value assigned as nohting appears next to the Association groups for the first checkbox, while Node 2, 3, 5 and OpenHab connector have names… … so am I setting the association wrong or the Wakeup node?

I have also tried with various settings combinations for the Association groups. All result in the same error…maybe my device is broke n and rejecting settings…

Your post is ambiguous. Are you using the ZWave Binding or the ZWay Binding? It is important because they are completely different.

If you are using the Zwave binding, you must use the development branch to define Things manually in .things files.

ZWave. I copy pasted the wrong Binding version info and have corrected that. I’m also not using .things files. I’m strictly using the Paper UI interface for zwave things, not text files. Hence my description of a sequence of events in the paper ui.

New Error message encountered that may shed light on the problem.
