Hi all,
Problem:
My zWave Stick (Aoetec Gen 5) connected via ser2net/socat from an other RPi3 suddenly stopped working after a restart of the docker container running my openhab. It was working before for quite some time.
Setup:
- Openhab 3.2.0 in a docker container.
- Zwave Binding connected to RasberryPi via socat/ser2net as described in this documentation: Share Z-wave dongle over IP (USB over IP using ser2net / socat ) guide
Details:
For some unknown reason, my docker container running openhab restarted in the middle of the night a couple of weeks ago. Since then I am not able to get my zwave Controller running again.
The Controller remains offline like this:
The USB Port is configured like this:
The socat log looks good, I think its working.

This is the virtual USB Device on the host machine:
And this is the same device inside my docker container:
This is the volume linking for the USB Port in my docker-compose file:
volumes:

- "/opt/openhab/openhab_3.2/openhab_userdata:/openhab/userdata"
- "/dev/ttyUSB0:/dev/ttyUSB0"
I restarted everything a couple of time already, the Controller remains offline. This is what I see in my openhab.log after a restart of the openhab container:

I am a little lost here, it should work… but it does not.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
