I have many Shelly Wave Shutters for my blinds.
In OH I have to invert the channels, to correctly reflect the shutters position (0=open 100=closed)
It happend several times already, that my OH channel inversions were reset.
I’m not sure when this is happening, but it seems it could happen, if I restart Zwave JS UI or its Docker container. But I was not able to reproduce
Example:
Today morning I restartet Z-wave JS (and its container) several times for some reasons. At lunch I noticed that all my shutters have wrong position. Of course my channels “inverted” value was reset.
Now I tried to restart Zwave JS again, but channels are still correct.
Anyone else noticed this behaviour?
Any Workaround? As far as I know I cannot invert positioning on Zwave JS or device side.
yeah ive seen channel flags on the zwave js binding get wiped when the thing gets rediscovered after a js ui restart. in my experience openHAB sometimes rebuilds the channel list from what zwave-js reports, and the inverted checkbox lives on the oh side so it just vanishes. workaround that stuck for me was either a js transform / profile on the item link instead of the channel invert, or setting the invert in a rule when the item updates. might also check if the thing is set to reinitialize on bridge reconnect. not sure theres a clean invert on the shelly/js side for wave shutters yet, so keeping it out of the channel config is probably safer.
Yeah same thing happened to me with my Somfy Zwave-RTS rollershutters. Hasn’t happen in a long time, so I suppose I’m due for it to happen soon now that I commented on it lol.
Anyone knows if it is worth to file an issue on github? Or is this not solvable within the binding?
If my environment gets reset, I have to reconfige about 40 Channels from 20 Wave Shutters, which is frustrating. Another way will be to invert all of my rules, for example instead of targeting position 80 I use 20. But thats basically not what I want.
