These settings are set per command class - they are normally set to work around bugs in devices - by default, getSupported is normally true, but if there have been problems with a device, it can be disabled in the database for specific command classes. If you are changing it in the XML, then you should be careful that it’s not causing issues with initialisation.
Anyway, since I’m not sure what device you are referring to, or what command class on the device I can’t say how it is set in the database… Of course, you can also check - just go to the device page in the database, look toward the bottom where you will see the list of command classes - select the command class using the button highlighted in the image below, and see if there is a config of NOGET. If it is, the getSupported will be false, if not, it will be true. (note - you need to be logged in to get to the editor buttons).
