Developer in soul and heart who has been around since ice age but seems to become more curious every day. Yes, I think I can still boot a PDP-11/44 using the flip switches and write a decent assembler hack but right now home automation and GOlang seems to absorb me.
Unfortunately, I spent two years trying to get the stuff from Z-Wave.me to work the way I wanted but after cleaning that out of the system and starting using openHAB things look muck brighter.
I live in a small fisherman’s house on a small island off the Swedish west coast. The house may be old, but the electrical installations are new. Mostly z-wave but a few Nexa, 1-wire and Modbus sensors are lurking in the corners. Solar panels, both PV and SWH, cling to the roof and are controlled by openHAB. The ground-source heat pump is next main project for inclusion in openHAB.
